Man hid bugs in ex’s home to spy on her
A DUMPED boyfriend spied on his former lover by hiding listening devices in her bedroom.
Wayne Bamford, 47, stalked Joanna Dawson after they dated for eight months, a court heard.
She found two bugging devices after getting advice from surveillance experts.
Her suspicions were aroused by him talking about her movements.
He listened in on one of the bugs more than 1,500 times in 15 days last year.
Recorder Anthony Hawks told Bradford crown court it was a “highly sinister” campaign.
Bamford, of Gildersome, West Yorks, who will be sentenced in October, admitted stalking causing serious alarm or distress but claimed he was only responsible for one device.
