‘HENDO’S OUR GENERAL’

KOP boss Jurgen Klopp hailed Jordan Henderson as his “general” after the club captain signed a new deal.

The 28-year-old midfielder (right) has put pen to paper on a five-year contract and Klopp said: “He carries a lot on his shoulders that people on the outside won’t see but he embraces that leadership. He is our general and I trust him completely.”

Henderson, who moved to Anfield in 2011, said: “I want to be here for as long as I can be.”
