- BY ANDY LINES Chief Reporter

JOSE Mourinho has agreed to a oneyear jail term, which he will almost certainly never serve, over an alleged £3million tax fraud in Spain.

The Man United boss’s lawyers were said by a Madrid newspaper to have done a deal with prosecutors to pay a £1.78million fine.

In the case, over undeclared revenue relating to image rights, Mourinho, 55, was DEAL Man Utd’s Mourinho accused of giving false information in 2015. He denied wrongdoing after a brief hearing last November saying he left Spain with the “conviction his tax situation was perfectly legal” and told reporters: “I paid and I signed an official agreement.” There was no comment from Mourinho last night. First-time offenders in Spain do not normally serve jail terms under two years.
