ITV, 9pm A rather strange title, which could suggest someone’s been over the set with one of those blue lights, seeing what they might uncover behind the Rovers’ bar or in the alley round the back of the Barlows.
But this show is actually a kind of ‘Who Do You Think You Are, Corrie cast?’ Given that a lot of the soap’s stars are Manchester born and bred, Long Lost Family host Nicky Campbell and a genetic expert are aiming to discover just what familial connections longserving actors like Bill Roache, Simon Gregson, Kym Marsh and Sally Ann Matthews might have to historically famous folk in the area – or even perhaps to other people who have walked those famous cobbles.
We can’t help but wonder if someone got the idea of digging into the soap stars’ ancestral past after watching East Enders’ Danny Dyer’s hilarious reaction to discovering he was descended from King Edward III.
