TOM YOUNGS is calling on Leicester to make Tigers legend Geordan Murphy their full-time boss. Club captain Youngs was shocked at the decision by England’s biggest rugby club to sack Matt O’Connor after just one game – a 40-6 defeat at Exeter. But he had no hesitation in backing Murphy to succeed the Australian on a permanent basis. “We’ve gone this way and that, but you can fall upon a gem sometimes and Geordie is that kind of person,” said Youngs. “He can be the guy to steer the ship and take it forward.”
