MANGALA’S CITY PEP UP
PEP GUARDIOLA has thrown Eliaquim Mangala a lifeline at Manchester City by naming the defender in his Premier League squad. Mangala’s City career appeared over when he joined Everton on loan in January and he only managed two appearances for the Toffees before suffering a serious knee injury. City could not find a buyer in the summer for the fit-again French centre-half, 27, who has entered the final year of his contract at the Etihad, and are stuck with him until January at least.
