New blow for Adam

ADAM LALLANA has suffered a devastating new injury setback.

The Liverpool midfielder, 30, last night pulled out of England’s squad after breaking down in his first training session back after missing the World Cup.

Lallana has returned to Anfield with a groin problem, which comes after last season was wrecked by a series of injuries.

Three Lions boss Gareth Southgate said: “Adam has had such a difficult run personally. You review what you might have been able to do differently, but today was just out of the blue.

“I am really disappointed for him.”
