Iraqis in court on terror plot

TWO Iraqis plotted to blow up targets with remote-controlled cars packed with explosives, a court heard.

Refugees Farad Salah, 23, and Andy Star, 32, hoped to use a laptop and camera to steer the vehicles, it is claimed.

But jurors heard their “sophisticated and lethal” plot was foiled when police arrested the pair, of Sheffield. Both deny preparing a terrorism act.

The trial at Sheffield crown court continues.
