POGBA’S ONE-YEAR TRUCE
PAUL POGBA will not push for a move away from Manchester United in the January transfer window.
The club’s £89million record signing still has issues with boss Jose Mourinho, but is set to stay until at least next summer.
Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola tried to engineer a
transfer this summer, with Barcelona the France World Cup-winner’s preferred destination.
But United refused to consider selling, having bought Pogba back from Juventus, despite obvious tension between the 25-year-old and the United manager.
It is understood Pogba has since held talks with Mourinho about his predicament and reached an understanding to put all talk of his future on hold for 12 months.
Sir Alex Ferguson (left) had a one-more-season pact with Cristiano Ronaldo in 2008, allowing him to join Real Madrid the following year for a then world record £80m.
