A QUARTER of us spend two minutes or less making breakfast before dashing off to work.

A poll of 1,882 for trade magazine The Grocer also found just 27% spend more than six minutes preparing the first meal of the day.

And 5% gave it no more than one minute.

The Grocer said: “Britain is a nation of speed freaks when it comes to breakfast. Anything that involves less preparation time – and a longer lie-in – hits the spot for today’s time-pressed consumer.”
