Wind giant is gust amazing

THE world’s biggest offshore wind farm has opened in the UK.

Its 189 turbines stretch across 55 square miles – or 20,000 football pitches – off Barrow, Cumbria, and can power 600,000 homes.

Blades for the 623ft windmills were made in Hull and the Isle of Wight.
