Probably the stickiest lager

CARLSBERG has begun gluing its multi-pack beer cans together in a “world first” to cut plastic use.

The brewer is ditching its six-pack rings and wrapping to slash packaging by three-quarters.

The Danish firm tested 4,000 glues over three years for its new “snap packs” which will debut in Britain.

It believes plastic use will plummet by the equivalent of 60 million carrier bags a year.

Carlsberg said of the eco-friendly design: “It’s a little bit of magic.”
