SAINTS’ CUP REVENGE BID

-

SAINTS coach Justin Holbrook expects Catalans’ Challenge Cup hangover to have worn off – as his side looks to avenge their semi-final defeat today. The Dragons dumped the favourites out of the competition with an emphatic 35-16 win at Bolton, which started a run of three defeats from four for the runaway leaders. Holbrook wants his team to get back on track in Perpignan but is fully aware of the threat from Steve McNamara’s men. He said: “Catalans have probably finished their celebrations by now and we are going to play them in their first game at home since they won the Cup. “They will want to show the home fans how good they have been playing and therefore it is up to us to raise our standards. “We saw just how well they could play in the semi-final and they then backed that up in the final. We have to play better and combat that.” Theo Fages will return for Saints with Ryan Morgan out with concussion, while Catalans recall Cup winners Micky McIlorum, Mika Simon and Jason Baitieri after they missed the defeat at Castleford.
