Drug empire ‘was run like a real firm’
A DRUG lord who ran his £32million empire like a legitimate business is facing a long jail sentence.
Marcus Callaghan, 34, used expensive corporate entertainment to thank his clientele for their custom.
Police who raided two properties found heroin, cocaine, cannabis, £200,000 and debtor lists.
A 9mm machine pistol was found in a later search.
Manchester-based Callaghan’s perks included rooms at Edinburgh’s Principal Hotel for New Year 2017 and spending £395 on a magnum of vodka and bottle of champagne.
Manchester Minshull Street crown court convicted Callaghan, of Hulme, and three gang members on various charges. Sentencing is on September 18.
