Boris ‘out’ in bid to reduce MP numbers

-

BORIS Johnson and other leading Brexiteers face losing their seats under plans to reduce MP numbers.

His 5,034 majority is at risk in Uxbridge and South Ruislip, West London, from boundary changes that would favour Labour.

Iain Duncan Smith faces the same problem in Essex and ex-Brexit Secretary David Davis’ East Yorkshire seat would vanish entirely.

In an attempt to make seat sizes more equal, MPs would be cut by 50 to 600.

But analysis showed in 2017 it would have given the Tories a majority of 16.

Labour blasted the plan as “nothing but an undemocratic power grab”.
