May to inject £106m into eco vehicles

-

THERESA May is to boost research into greener cars by £106 million.

The Prime Minister will today tell the Zero Emission Vehicle Summit in Birmingham of her “ambitious mission” to make Britain a green tech leader.

Mrs May will say the government cash plus £500 million of private money “will drive the design, use, uptake and infrastructure… for cleaner, greener vehicles”.

Labour MP and Best for Britain backer David Lammy warned Brexit was missing from the PM’s speech and we will need to sell our green tech to Europe “without barriers”.
