Paris knif­ing Brits in fight for re­cov­ery

RAM­PAGE Stab­bing scene TWO Bri­tish tourists were still in a “very se­ri­ous” con­di­tion in Paris last night af­ter be­ing stabbed by an il­le­gal im­mi­grant.

The un­named pair, aged 56 and 53, were at­tacked by an Afghan drug user who used them as a hu­man shield.

The 31-year-old, known to have men­tal health prob­lems, in­jured five other peo­ple when he ran amok with a 15in knife and an iron bar on Sun­day.

He was hit by sev­eral heavy metal balls by peo­ple play­ing petanque, a game like bowls, be­side a canal near the Gare Du Nord Eurostar hub.

All but one of his vic­tims suf­fered se­vere in­juries.

Po­lice try­ing to es­tab­lish a mo­tive said the man was in France on im­mi­gra­tion pa­pers is­sued to a child.
