Paris knifing Brits in fight for recovery

RAMPAGE Stabbing scene TWO British tourists were still in a “very serious” condition in Paris last night after being stabbed by an illegal immigrant.

The unnamed pair, aged 56 and 53, were attacked by an Afghan drug user who used them as a human shield.

The 31-year-old, known to have mental health problems, injured five other people when he ran amok with a 15in knife and an iron bar on Sunday.

He was hit by several heavy metal balls by people playing petanque, a game like bowls, beside a canal near the Gare Du Nord Eurostar hub.

All but one of his victims suffered severe injuries.

Police trying to establish a motive said the man was in France on immigration papers issued to a child.
