Man denies digger rage

A BUILDER yesterday denied causing £4million damage by driving a digger into five newly-built retirement homes.

Romanian Daniel Neagu allegedly carried out the attack on August 11, claiming he was owed wages. The homes in Buntingford, Herts, were to be occupied in weeks.

Neagu, 31, of Harrow, North West London, was remanded in custody after appearing at St Albans crown court. He is due to be tried in February.
