Pole dancer strips down her tax bills
AN ex-pole dancer can off-set the cost of her naughty nurse and schoolgirl uniforms against tax, a judge ruled.
Gemma Daniels was told she could do the same with her hair extensions, fake tan, black lingerie and 10-inch stiletto heels.
Ms Daniels, who used to perform at Stringfellows in central London, had been hit with a £10,500 tax bill by HMRC.
The tax authorities said the “see-through, skimpy” gear was “everyday wear”.
But at a tribunal Judge Guy Brannan said she’d not have worn them in the street and they could not be described as providing “warmth and decency”.
Ms Daniels, from South West London, who quit the club in 2014, will have her tax bill drastically cut.
