Danny thanks Dani for win.. and PM insult
EASTENDERS star Danny Dyer has credited his daughter’s Love Island victory for his win at the TV Choice Awards.
Danny, 41, was named best soap actor for his role as Queen Vic landlord Mick Carter, but said it was due to Dani’s stint on ITV’s reality show, and him insulting David Cameron.
The star, who criticised the ex-PM earlier this year over Brexit, said: “I like to think I’ve won because I’m a blinding actor, but I fear it’s actually because my daughter won Love Island.
“And because I called David Cameron a tw*t.”
The actor attended Monday night’s awards with Dani, 22. He said they want to work together.
He said: “It could be brilliant or a car crash.”
