Sadly, ITV has little vanity flair

I think ITV’s adaptation of 19th-century novel Vanity Fair, starring Olivia Cooke as Becky Sharp, is poor.

In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised to see someone drinking a can of Coke or speaking on a mobile phone.

By comparison, the BBC excels at period dramas and can transport you back to the time when they were set.
