MOSHIRI’S GOOD BUY
FARHAD MOSHIRI has taken majority control of Everton by increasing his shareholding to over 68 per cent.
And that will smooth the way for the Blues to leave Goodison Park.
The Iranian billionaire, 63, intends to thrash out a deal enabling him to finance a new state-ofthe-art stadium situated in the dockland area of Liverpool.
In layman’s terms, Moshiri (right) can now do as he pleases with Everton.
And it seems his immediate plan is to speed up the process of paying for the stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock, by bringing in a naming rights sponsor – and also private finance. He will buy again to take his stake to over 77 per cent by next July.
