8m stock up for Christmas

MORE than eight million very organised people have already started Christmas shopping, a poll has found.

Nearly half said they began early to take advantage of sales bargains.

With 100 days to go, 8.6million are stocking up already – 1.1million more than at this time in 2016.

Stephen Steinhardt from American Express said: “It’s good to start early to avoid last-minute panic buying and spread costs.”
