Lastminute rated worst site for fees

COMPLAINTS Firm’s site TRAVELLERS have rated lastminute.com the worst hotel booking website in a consumer watchdog poll.

Users complained that the site was not clear enough about fees which could be higher at the checkout than first quoted.

The Which? survey of 3,400 members rated 14 websites based on customers’ experiences.

The top-rated site was minnow Travelzoo, with an 80% satisfaction rating, followed by Booking.com, Airbnb and Secret Escapes.

Lastminute.com got 61%. Others who scored poorly included Ebookers, and Travel Republic.

Lastminute.com said: “We continuously work to improve our customer satisfaction. However we strongly believe our hotel pricing is transparent.”
