Cat burglar gets his paws on knickers

THIEF Basil the moggy A CAT has stolen at least 10 pairs of pants from neighbours’ washing lines.

Three-year-old Basil brings the undies home to owner Jane Goodwin, who has to trace the owners online to return them.

Victim Rhianna Drummond-Clarke said: “I was scrolling on Facebook and saw a photo of knickers.

“I thought, ‘They look like the ones I haven’t seen for a couple of days’. I said, ‘I bet it’s that cat’.”

Jane, of Brighton, East Sussex, said Basil started off bringing home leaves, then moved on to gloves before targeting pants.

She said: “He sometimes leaves them by my bed and in the living room.

“He just thinks it’s a nice present for me. Thankfully everyone finds it funny and are understanding.”
