An urge to purge dirge
I’D hoped after listening to it drone on in Russia that the woeful lyrics a few unimaginative England fans knocked up to Atomic Kitten’s Whole Again would have died a well-earned death once they returned home and sobered up.
But no, that dirge to Gareth Southgate was breaking out repeatedly, if not whole-heartedly, at Leicester on Tuesday night.
The song fails on every level, as you can tell by the lack of take-up from most fans. Not least on the most basic one. It’s a lie. Gareth Southgate doesn’t turn them on. So turn it off, eh?
