Happy returns for birthday boy Steven
STEVEN NAISMITH rewarded Alex McLeish for his late Scotland call-up with a superb attacking display against Albania.
He scored one and forced the own-goal that took Scotland top of their Nations League group. Naismith, on loan from Norwich at Hearts, had become something of a forgotten figure but that performance on Monday undoubtedly prolonged his international career.
It’s his 32nd birthday tomorrow and the man who devotes so much time and money to helping the poor and the weak has a much-deserved present.
For once the phrase it couldn’t happen to a nicer guy is spot-on.
