SKY AWAITS FINAL KILLER BID
A £50billion battle for satellite giant Sky could end in sealed bids.
US cable goliath Comcast and Rupert Murdoch’s 21st Century Fox have until the end of next week to make a final offer.
If neither says by then that they’re done and dusted, the Takeover Panel will step in.
Comcast is the front runner after delivering a £26bn approach for Sky, which will make Murder on the Orient Express available on its Cinema Premiere channel from tomorrow.
That trumped media mogul Murdoch’s £24.5bn bid.
The takeover tussle for Sky has been one of the most complex and convoluted in UK history.
It comes as Sky prepares to add Netflix to its Q platform.
