Firstly may I say that I’m sorry you’ve had so much abuse recently. There are more of us out here who have love and respect for you and your work.

I’d like to comment on the letter from your reader who can’t handle job interviews because of crippling shyness. (Dear Coleen, Sept 11).

I used to be very shy and I coped by finding an actress I admired and thinking “How would she approach this role?”

I’m a big believer in the saying ‘fake it till you make it’.

That said, if your reader gets through the interview day, she can say she did her best and that’s all any of us can do. Denise Bucknall, via email
