And moderate exercise releases chemicals in your brain that lift your mood. 4 Talk and share Communicat­ion is important, whether it’s with a friend, family member or counsellor. Communicat­ion enables you to release tension, rather than keeping it inside. 5 Manage your stress levels When you’re stressed, it’s easier to overreact or feel negative. Find ways to reduce stress, such as taking a relaxing yoga class or talking to your boss about changing your working hours.
