Sounds familiar

Actor Stephen Mangan was told he wouldn’t be featuring on the BBC’s Who Do You Think You Are? after researchers studied his family tree and concluded his ancestors all came from the same small place in Ireland and led boring lives.

If that’s how we judge past generations, why are our history books filled with stories about a family whose members are less interesting than a Jimmy Tarbuck golfing anecdote and who all come from the same incestous place? Gawd bless ‘em. REJECTED Mangan
