-

APPLE is hiking the price of replacement iPhone batteries by up to 160%.

From January 1, the cost for iPhone 6 and later models will rise from £25 to £45 or £65 for iPhone X.

The move was revealed with a few lines on Apple’s service website as fans focused on the unveiling of its latest range of handsets.

Website 9to5Mac, which revealed the move, urged iPhone owners to get new batteries before December 31. It said: “iPhone X users have the most to save.”
