£15k sale of Caine Roller

A 1968 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow bought new by Sir Michael Caine is set to fetch £15,000 at auction.

The star, 85, was filming The Italian Job at the time and kept the black convertible for several years before selling it on.

The auction is a week today at Historics in Iver, Bucks, which said of the car: “It’s hugely collectible.”
