Workers ‘may never retire’

WORKERS may not have “the option of retiring” because of longer working lives, the Bank of England Governor warns.

Seismic change in practices may lead to unemployment and rising inequality, Mark Carney believes.

He said: “Unlike in previous industrial revolutions, rapid pace of adjustment and longer working lives means workers may not have the option of retiring.”
