This is a photo of my mother Audrey Stevenson (left) and her workmates, taken towards the end of the Second World War. They made models of towns and villages, purportedly to help the armed forces.

At the time, she lived in Durrington, Wilts, not far from Bulford Camp. I believe Mum was also involved with making a model of Welwyn Garden City after the war, but sadly now I have more time to be curious, there’s no one left to ask for more information. Brenda Tiley, Luton, Beds
