I agree with Brian Reade that you can’t expect football managers to give more game time to players if they have someone better (Mirror, Sept 13).

I watched the Croatia v Spain game, and every Spanish player had firstrate ball skills. While England consistent­ly have the ball taken off them or passes intercepte­d.

Maybe academy coaches need to teach such skills, rather than how to lob a ball into the goal area and hope for the best.

I had a blood test at my local surgery and asked what my blood group was. The nurse told me it would be £35 to find out.

I’m absolutely stunned to be asked to pay anything to obtain something that should be on the first page of my medical records. Is this the future for the NHS, I wonder?

Is there a new addition to the Highway Code that specifies it is acceptable to be an ignorant, selfish, dangerous idiot while driving? It would explain why I see so many bad drivers on the roads.
