Moscow claims it has ‘proof’ Ukraine attacked Flight MH17
RUSSIA has tried to blame Ukraine for killing 298 people on board a Malaysia Airways flight shot down in 2014.
A Dutch Safety Board inquiry ruled the jet was hit by a Buk missile fired by pro-Russian separatists.
The report also said the missile was moved out of Russia on the day of the shooting.
But Moscow defence minis- try’s General Nikolay Parshin insists a device with the same engine and rocket number was sent to Ukraine in 1986.
Russia says this shows “inconsistency of accusations” against Moscow as it has “undeniable proof” of Ukraine’s “guilt”. Flight MH17, from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur, crashed in rebelheld eastern Ukraine.
It is believed the claims are to deflect from the novichok attack backlash.
