Brexit fear sees wheels come off

There is something horribly ominous about the move by Jaguar Land Rover to put 3,000 staff onto a three-day week.

It comes after company boss Dr Ralf Speth warned a hard Brexit could be “horrifying” and cost the firm more than £1.2billion a year. He has been blasted for scaremongering. And up until now it’s been hard to fathom amid the daily warnings just what is Project Fear and what is Project Reality.

Certainly the reality for those 3,000 workers and their families at JLR as we approach Christmas will be a whole lot of fear.
