Zac’s on an eco marshy mission
Rainham Marshes in East London is a great place to spot buzzards, sparrowhawks, kestrels... and Hollywood film stars, apparently.
Avid birdwatchers couldn’t believe what they were seeing through their binoculars when they picked out High School Musical star Zac Efron litter picking at the nature reserve.
One eagle-eyed conservationist told us: “He really mucked in. There was no fanfare over his arrival or anything, he just turned up and got involved.
“Half the volunteers didn’t
know who he was, but the kids were really excited.”
See, kids, you do a good deed, you get to hang out with a film star.
While most celebs grappling with a litter picker do so as part of a community service order, Zac, 30, is filming a Netflix environmental documentary.
The vegan actor was followed by the cameras as he mingled with the wildlife and cleared debris washed up on the banks of the Thames in the reserve.
The actor, who arrived at one awards ceremony in an ecolimo, also filmed at the London School of Economics and in Carnaby Street at the weekend.
