Windass junior nodded his first goal for Wigan to sink his dad’s former club.

Latics boss Paul Cook came up smiling after his decision to fight Sam Morsy’s weekend red card was rewarded with a spectacular opening goal.

Windass then headed in from close range but Cook’s men switched off just before the break to allow Jarrod Bowen to pull one back.
