‘Saints need strong minds’
PIERRE-EMILE HOJBJERG admits that Southampton have a “mental weakness” for defending leads.
The Saints have dropped 13 points from winning positions since Mark Hughes was appointed boss in March.
And Hojbjerg was raging after his side let south-coast rivals Brighton come back from 2-0 down to snatch a 2-2 draw at St Mary’s on Monday.
He said: “It is a mental problem. It is a weakness. We need to be better.
“If you are 2-0 up at home with 25 minutes to go you can not let points slip away – no matter who you play.”
