Toon facing two ‘vital’ must-wins

FEDERICO FERNANDEZ has admitted Newcastle must start their revival this weekend.

With Rafa Benitez’s side secondbottom and winless in six games, including five defeats, the defender says the next two games are “vital”.

They face Crystal Palace and Leicester, then Manchester United.

Fernandez, 29, (above) said: “We know it’s very important. We have a couple of games against teams who are maybe middle of the table now.

“In the last five league games, we knew it would be very difficult, against some top teams.”

“But now it’s vital that we start taking points.”

Benitez said: “Obviously we have to start winning soon because that will give us more confidence.”
