I bought Jag E-Type.. and beat cancer
A MAN beat prostate cancer after buying himself a Jaguar E-Type for motivation during treatment.
Alistair Armitage, 73, bought the red motor after being diagnosed in 2016.
Now he is set to complete a stage of the Jaguar E-Type Club’s Round Britain Coastal Drive 2018 in support of Prostate Cancer UK.
Alistair, from Shelley, West Yorkshire, said: “The news about my prostate cancer diagnosis came as quite a shock to me.
“I always wanted to buy an E-Type Jaguar and needed something to lift my spirits, so I thought, ‘why not buy one now?’
“Fortunately my cancer was caught early – the treatment was successful.”
Up to 12,000 UK men die each year from the cancer.
