Grabban’s a real smasher

-

LEWIS GRABBAN and Joao Carvalho grabbed their first goals for Forest as Aitor Karanka’s side buried their tag of draw specialists.

Grabban (above) opened his account at the seventh time of asking following his £6million move from Bournemouth before £13.2m Carvalho sealed it as Forest ended a run of five draws in seven games.

Wednesday missed a great early chance when the unmarked Marco Matias glanced inches over.

But Forest’s dominance was rewarded in the 41st minute when Grabban headed in Ben Osborn’s curling free-kick.

Atdhe Nuhiu missed a great chance to equalise after he went clear. And they were made to pay in the 63rd minute when Carvalho cut inside and curled the ball into the top corner.

Wednesday sub Steven Fletcher hit back with a shot on the turn in the 88th minute.
