McClaren on big high five

-

STEVE McCLAREN’S Hoops stretched their unbeaten run to five games as Millwall’s Loftus Road hoodoo continued.

It was two goals in as many firsthalf minutes that sank the Lions.

Ben Amos prevented Jordan Cousins from firing the R’s ahead with a smart save on the half-hour.

But the Lions keeper missed his punch from the resulting corner, allowing Massimo Luongo (above, right) to head in Nahki Wells’ deflected effort.

Amos was beaten again straight after when Ebere Eze turned in Jake Bidwell’s cross as the Millwall defence dithered.

The Lions were better in the second 45, with Steve Morison a menace, but the R’s held firm.
