What is it with TV show titles at the moment? There’s The Good Wife, The Good Fight, The Good Doctor, The Good Place – not forgetting the original inspiration, The Good Life.

And here’s another something starting tonight, this time set in the police force in New York.

Josh Groban plays Tony Caruso Jr, a by-the-book letter-of-the-law police officer, who ended up that way because his dad, Tony Senior, was one of the most corrupt cops the NYPD had ever seen.

He’s spent a few years in prison and is now out on parole, one of the conditions of which is that he has to live with his straight-laced son, from which hilarity ensues.

Singer Josh makes an adorably geeky good guy, while his charming and annoying dad is played by sitcom veteran Tony Danza. Monica Barbaro and Isiah Whitlock Jr also feature. CATCH OF THE DAY Rob Bell
