Joka tips ‘Lion’ Tom

FULHAM boss Slavisa Jokanovic reckons captain Tom Cairney could do a great job for England.

Nottingham-born Cairney is out with an ankle injury for tomorrow’s home game against Watford.

But he has been tipped for a shock Three Lions call-up, even though he has already played for Scotland.

He qualifies for Scotland through his father and has won two caps for them – but only in friendlies.

“Gareth Southgate has not yet asked me about the situation,” said Jokanovic.

“But he’s one of our most important players and he would be useful for any team and for any coach.”
