Lampards’ first baby is named after late mum
ACCUSED Singer Beyonce CLOSE Frank with mum Pat at footie match CHRISTINE and Frank Lampard have welcomed a baby daughter - named after his beloved late mum.
The couple announced Patricia Charlotte’s birth on social media yesterday, saying: “We’re so in love.”
Frank was very close to his mum Patricia, who died of pneumonia at the age of 58 in 2008.
The former footballer, 40, once said: “My biggest regret is Mum died before she ever got to meet Christine because they’re so similar, like two peas from the same pod.”
Patricia Charlotte will be a stepsister to Frank’s daughters Luna, 13, and Isla, 11, from his previous relationship with model Elen Rivas.
Christine, 39, received tributes from fellow Loose Women hosts Ruth Langsford and Andrea McLean.
Ruth shared the snap while hosting This Morning. She said: “Look at that, they both look thrilled. She does look glowing. I hope she wore her lipstick right the way through.”
Andrea said on Loose Women: “Isn’t it lovely? They both look so beautiful. We’re so thrilled for them.”
Christine had been tipped to replace Holly Willoughby on This Morning while she is in Australia hosting I’m a Celebrity, but yesterday it emerged she will take maternity leave and return to TV next year.
