BATTERED Lee Harris shows facial injuries

THE son of a pensioner mauled to death by a police dog says his mum was “failed badly” by the force.

A BATTERED dad is frogmarched in his underwear by gun raiders who held his terrified family hostage while they forced him to hand over £15,000.

Six masked thugs smashed their way into Lee Harris’s home with a sledgehammer and booted him in the face, fracturing his eye socket and cheek.

They then made his wife Nicola, 43, and their twin sons Cameron and Broady, 17, lie on the floor.

They threatened to cut off her fingers and pour boiling water on her if they moved, and put a shotgun to one of the boys’ heads.

The thugs forced Lee, 48 – seen in his underwear on CCTV in the raid earlier this month – into a car and drove him to the garage he owns to get the cash. They then took jewellery and three cars from his home in Doncaster.

Lee said: “I saw six men with balaclavas. I feared for my life. They booted me in the face.” He said of seeing the gun threat to his son: “At that point you’ll give anything you’ve got.”

Nicola believed the robbers were going to kill her husband as he was led away.

She added: “They said, ‘If they move chop her fingers off. If they move pour the water on her’.”

Neighbours alerted police to the incident and the cars have been recovered. Doncaster CID are investigating the “horrific” raid. TARGETED Lee and Nicola with their twins
