NATH WANTS NOD FROM JAVI

- BY DARREN WITCOOP

JAVI GRACIA has delivered a message of hope for fit-again Nathaniel Chalobah.

The Watford star has been itching to force his way back into Gracia’s side after a year out with a fractured knee cap.

But the midfielder (right) has been left warming the bench due to the Hornets’ high-flying start to the season.

With three games this week – starting at Fulham today – Chalobah is closing in on a long-awaited Premier League start.

Gracia has named the same side in every league game, but is now considering freshening things up to put 23-year-old Chalobah in the frame. The Watford boss said: “In the next seven days we have three tough games and I’m sure Nathaniel will show what he‘s able to do. “He is ready to help the team and play. He needs time. But when he plays regularly again you will see him at his best level. “I have spoken to him but we can only choose 11 players and I have a lot of good players waiting. “I think he understands the situation is working hard and waiting for his moment.”
